In July 1980, 24 men gathered at the Makati Sports Club for what would become the inaugural breakfast of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen & Professionals (BCBP). Originating from the Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon Covenant Community and the Charismatic Renewal, this meeting sparked the creation of the BCBP. The movement quickly grew, leading to the first chapter in Makati and subsequent expansions across Metro Manila and beyond. By 1988, BCBP had reached Cebu City, Bacolod City, Puerto Princesa, and further into Mindanao.

BCBP boasts over 120 chapters and 50 outreaches across the Philippines, Asia Pacific, and North America. 

Fast forward to 2012, BCBP Canada launched its first breakfast gathering on October 27, 2012, in Mississauga. As monthly breakfasts became a regular event, the group welcomed new members through the Brotherhood Christian Life Program. This rapid growth led to its transition from an Outreach to a full Chapter by October 2014, just two years after its inception. Building on this momentum, the BCBP GTA Chapter expanded to include the GTA East and West Chapters in October 2018. 

Today, the BCBP Waterloo Mission operates as a key initiative of the BCBP SouthWest Outreach in Ontario, Canada. This mission is dedicated to expanding the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen & Professionals' impact in the Waterloo region, fostering spiritual growth, and connecting with local professionals through faith-driven initiatives. As an integral part of the SouthWest Outreach, the Waterloo Mission continues to strengthen the community and advance the organization’s mission in Ontario.

The BCBP Waterloo Mission has made significant strides in its journey of faith and community engagement. As a vibrant arm of the BCBP SouthWest Outreach in Ontario, we’re proud of our recent accomplishments and ongoing activities that foster spiritual growth and unity among professionals and their families.

Faith Fridays: Our Faith Fridays provide a dedicated time for reflection, prayer, and spiritual enrichment. These gatherings are designed to deepen our connection with Christ and strengthen our personal faith journeys.

Monthly Breakfast Gatherings: Our monthly breakfast meetings have become a cornerstone of our community. These gatherings offer a space for fellowship, sharing insights, and discussing how to integrate Christian values into our professional lives.

Lord’s Day Celebrations: We celebrate the Lord’s Day with heartfelt worship and community support. These events are an opportunity for collective prayer, inspiration, and renewal as we seek to live out our faith in all aspects of life.

Family Day Activities: Our Family Day events bring together members and their loved ones for fun, connection, and shared faith experiences. These activities are designed to nurture family bonds and celebrate the importance of Christian values within the home.

These initiatives, along with numerous other community-focused activities, reflect our commitment to being a well-balanced Christian community.
